First Steps After Admission

Upon admission, clients at Visions at Heroes’ Mile meet with a specialist to create an individualized treatment program. In some cases, medical detoxification may be the first step before entering the residential rehab. Detox is necessary when the body has become physically dependent on substances like drugs or alcohol. Typically, detox takes five to seven days, during which clients receive round-the-clock care from addiction specialists, physicians, and mental health counselors who help them navigate and minimize withdrawal symptoms.

Once the client is ready, they are transitioned into the residential program. If a client has already completed detoxification at another location and is in good physical health, they can directly enter our residential rehab.
